Summary: if you subscribe to a Cafezin paid plan and it is not a fit, request a refund within 30 days from the billing date. We return 100% of the amount paid.
1. Who processes payments
Cafezin uses Paddle as its payment platform for paid plans. Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record (MoR), which means that from a legal and tax perspective your purchase is made through Paddle rather than directly from Pedro Martinez. This supports:
- Compliance with local regulations, including Brazil
- Secure processing of cards and other region-specific payment methods handled by Paddle
- Automatic generation of receipts and tax-compliant billing artifacts where applicable
- A formal dispute and refund workflow
2. 30-day guarantee
We offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee starting from the subscription billing date, including renewals.
If, during that period, you are not satisfied with your Cafezin paid plan for any reason, you are entitled to a full refund of the amount charged for that billing period.
3. How to request a refund
You have two ways to request a refund:
Option A - By email (recommended)
Send an email to support@pmatz.com with:
- The email address used in your Cafezin account
- Subject line: “Refund request”
- Your reason, if you want to share it. It helps improve the product but is not required.
We process refund requests within up to 2 business days. The refund usually appears within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.
Option B - Paddle customer portal
Access Paddle's billing portal through the account page on the site or directly in the app: Settings -> Account -> Manage plan. From there you can request a refund or cancel without contacting us first.
4. Processing times
- Credit or debit card: 5 to 10 business days after approval
- Alternative local methods: timing depends on Paddle and the payment rail used
5. What happens after a refund
Once the refund is approved, paid Cafezin access ends immediately. You can continue using the free plan, including all editing and organization features that do not depend on AI.
Your files and documents are not deleted. They remain on your device and stay accessible.
6. Renewals
The 30-day guarantee also applies to renewal charges. If you forgot to cancel before renewal and contact us within 30 days of the charge, we will process the refund.
7. Brazilian withdrawal right
In addition to our guarantee, consumers in Brazil may have a legal 7-day withdrawal right for online purchases under Article 49 of the Consumer Defense Code (Law No. 8.078/1990). That legal right exists independently from our 30-day policy.
8. Cases not covered
In exceptional situations, a refund may be denied or limited:
- Confirmed violations of the Terms of Service, such as fraud attempts or malicious abuse
- Requests made more than 30 days after the charge, except where mandatory legal rights apply
